While in Rosthern, check out the nearby Seager Wheeler Farm – designated by the Government of Canada as a place of national historic significance.

This farm is being restored to its 1919 state, and is the site where Wheeler the “Wheat King of Rosthern” bred award winning varieties of wheat and developed plants such as the Saskatchewan crabapple.

Visitors can wander through the 1908 house, the grounds, and take in the displays and a video at the visitor’s centre.  Wander through the gardens and orchards, and see the bird sanctuary and marsh.  There is a petting zoo, and a tea room where visitors can enjoy a fantastic slice of pie with ice cream.
